Katogo (adult)

Matooke or ‘bogoya’ in local Bantu language, served with groundnut, beef, offal or bean sauce. Originally comes from Buganda, and first was the poor man’s meal, but soon the upper classes replaced cassava with matooke and the popularity of katogo quickly spread all over Uganda. Now available in most restaurants and hotels as a breakfast.
